The second league won't be a lesser league. We just set a cap for 10 per league.

No promotion/relegation?

If we do promotion/relegation, the ten teams with the most points, regardless of league, will automatically be in the FMFP next season.

Speaking of which, we'll need a better name for the Championship league. And, again, someone who will be a commissioner (set up drafts, oversee roster moves, calculate scores, etc.)

Id be commissioner but I have never done fantasy soccer before.

Do you have vector jersey templates by any chance?

I've never run a soccer league before, but it shouldn't be that hard. Just be consistent, follow the guidelines, keep up with the scoring, etc. If you'll agree to be the commish for the Championship, I'll help you out.

I don't have vector templates, just Photoshop ones. GeauxColonels might have some.

In theory with promotion league we could have 2 teams with aguero or hazard for example...how will that work

This is why I am against keepers. You cannot change leagues with keepers.

I guess what you could do is have the top team announce their keepers first, then down the line, one-by-one, to avoid something like that.

I don't know, didn't think that through. We don't have to decide on keepers for a while.

You could have a league for each level Premier and Championship... when 3 championships win promotion they can chose to keep any of their players that also won promotion, or enter a 3 rd draft with the other 3 to draft any players held by relegated teams.

The relegated teams could also have first pick on any playets left behind by promoted teams... see parachute.

That is not true. People draft based on keepers. Young players are more valued.

That's a great idea. Let's see what everyone else thinks about it.

It's easier without keepers.

How'd you like to build your team around (Ronaldo) and have him sky up to Real Madrid the next year?

Keepers only work if you have a reasonable expectation that you will know what players of similar ability will be in the league next year. In any given year, ANY PLAYER ON THE PLANET could come or go from the EPL.

In fantasy football, if I have Adrian Peterson, and I know what the other options are already in the NFL at running back, and I can look at who MIGHT leave college next year, so you can make a reasonable determination about what to do.

Let's say you keep Adebayor (4th best goalscorer last season.) What if teams splash the cash and bring in 5 better strikers? You'd be keeping an "average" player. What if you keep him, and he signs with PSG right before the deadline?

Adrian Peterson isn't going to play for the Edmonton Eskimos right before the season starts, and the New York Jets are going to sign some unheralded running back from the Belgian Football League.

If you can handle the logistics, that sounds pretty good to me.

But if you lose a keeper, you get the first choice at an incoming EPL player.
