I think so. The only person in my opinion who is even close is Garth Brooks.

George Strait and it's not even close.

Define singer.
Voice alone? Alan Jackson is not even in the top 10.
All around artist? An argument could be made for this.
Probably the worst thing to happen to country music in the last 20 years.

I can't hate on him. He's got some good ones IMO. Unanswered prayers, The dance, What she's doing now. Those songs don't really sound like country music, just some good songs.

Come on George Strait is good but almost every song Jackson sings is a hit.

No question about it. Last 20 years is since 1992. Alan Jackson is by far the best. Go back to 1982 and George Strait gives him a run for his money.

I don't know. I think the country music tradition means something to him probably more than it does to Brooks.
But this is good stuff right here
Brooks - Alabama Clay
Brooks first 2 albums were money.

frick no
he's still got time to sell out, but as far as mainstream country artists go, eric church is in a league of his own, imho
i did like some king george back in the day

I'm just saying Jackson's best songs are way better than Straits best. I mean come on he's got
Monday morning church
Between the devil and me
Wanted
Chasin that neon rainbow
Don't Rock the jukebox
And plenty more these are all better than any George Strait song
