Should Les give Kevin Mawae a coaching start?

Kevin Mawae has just moved back to Baton Rouge. I wonder if Les would give him a start in coaching. He would make a great OL coach some time down the road.

Do you have any idea if:
1. Mawae wants to coach?
2. If he does would he prefer college to the pros?
3. Would make a great coach?

yes! he can be our replacement for Ben. the OL Whisperer.
though Mawae did kinda get a start at Vandy. thought he'd stay in Nashville.

I'd imagine if Mawae wanted to help coach at LSU, he wouldn't have too much of a problem.

It can't hurt to have an nfl HOFer on staff.

I doubt Kev goes that route.
He'll likely be doing more church work....

If an all-time NFL great asks to help out, you tell him "Yes," then "Thank you." If it turns out he sucks, you tell him, "Thank you" again just before suggesting he try out something else.

Mawae would have to be hired full time. D-1 FBS schools are only allowed 10 full time coaches on staff. Wilkerson was a GA, and the rules were changed for GA hires this year. Any D-1 GA must be within 7 years of earning his batchelors degree to be hired as a GA.
