Oh legends of the gaming board, I beseech for thy knowledge. I'm going buy a PS3 after work today, but have little knowledge of the console or its packages. Best Buy has a CoD package for $299 that looks like a good deal, but then again..I have no idea.

What is a good size to get (80,160GB), would you buy a refurb or just spend the extra $50 and buy new?

I also give you a prize for your trouble

Always new. Especially with hardware, IMO.

Get an old one. When you hit the power button and it glows yellow, that means it is backward compatible with PS2 games!

I'd definitely buy a new one. Rumor has it they will drop the price to $150 with a new 16gb model before the launch of the new Nintendo console. So if you're not boned for ideas this summer, it may be worth waiting. The current models are occasionally sold new for $200 (Gamestop in April, Ebay in June) which would be worth the price considering it's 160gb.

Everyone seems to be $250 for a new 160GB. $50 really isn't worth waiting if I'd have to wait a few months. $100...yeah I'd be upset
