Why not redshirt him this year? What advantage dies his running style give us over our other running backs?

he worked hard enough to earn PT so the coaches awarded him with it. It's not like we need to hang on to good RBs. We always have good RBs coming in.

They wanted him to, but no one could spell his name correctly on the red shirt paperwork, so they decided to just let him play.

Because its a waste, players can go pro 3 years removed from HS. If he's good, its possibly he can go and if he's not, do you really want a 5th year RB.

Look at Brockers. He RS as a frosh, played some in 2010, big season in 2011 and he's out. so LSU got 2 years of use out of him. And a year ago at this time if someone said he'd be a top 15 picked he would have been mocked severly. And you don't have to be a first rounder to go, see Ridley.

Outside of QB,s and maybe some OL or DL you are trying to bulk up, I don't see the point of RS any freshman. Even if they don;t play much, so what? At worst they can play some ST or get some game expirience. If he's really good, he ain't staying 5 years.

I know everyone wants all the players to stay as long as possible, but we can and will recruit replacements. By 2015, which would be McGee's RS Sr year if you have your way, we will have another stable of young guys. hopefully Leonard Fournette and Nic Brossette (sp) from St Aug and U High respectivily, plus 3 or so other guys.

He should have but he played before Hilliard emerged last year.

With the addition of Hill this year, that gives us 6 RBs. Hill is definitely playing too per the coaches...

A redshirt would be a very smart idea for Magee. He may get less carries this year than last year and he obviously didn't touch it much last year. I'm sure 1 or more of the 3 juniors will go pro after this year.

he did not play baseball last year because he hurt his knee in Ark game and had minor surgery and is on FB scholarship. I am not saying Football is not his best/pref sport, but he IS a possible draft choice in baseball....and also NOT saying this is main reason he did not RS last year, but think it may play a part....

He didn't even get drafted out of high school, how is he going to get drafted without even playing baseball?

So you'd be fine with Magee getting like 20-25 carries this year burning yup a year of eligibility?

Not every RB goes pro early.
