Minecraft 1.3 released, Xbox version falls even further behind.

Which is frustrating, because I absolutely love the Xbox version. I'm really enjoying the 1.3 update on the PC, but with the release of 1.3, the Xbox version is starting to feel like a completely different game. And at the rate the PC game is evolving, it really doesn't look like the Xbox version is ever going to come close to catching up.
I really think 4J needs to temporarily get a few more people working on translating and implementing the code, so that they could at least get the Xbox version within a few updates of the PC version.
A few of the changes in 1.3 are below...
- Added adventure mode
- Added villager trading
- Added emerald ore and emeralds
- Added Ender Chests
- Added tripwire hooks
- Added new half slabs, as well as sandstone stairs
- Added the book and quill
- Added "large biomes" world type
- Added jungle and desert temples
- Added desert specific villages
+ Improved enchanting system
+ Improved XP system
+ Performance enhancements
+ Nether warts can now be grown in the regular world
+ Boat improvements
+ New gravel texture
+ Buckets now stack
+ Signs now stack
+ Cocoa beans can now be planted and grown to make cookies

Villager trading came at the perfect time. Just found a village of 2 near my house.

They don't have villages on the xbox version do they?

Interesting. Emeralds?
I actually have been collecting enough stuff to have enderchests upon their release

No...villages weren't added until (b)1.8, and villagers weren't added until (b)1.9.

Thanks. I'm ready for that and endermen and strongholds in the Nether. What is this Herobrine? I watched a couple of videos on youtube. Is that just a glitch in the code, a developer, or myth and someone put him in the videos. On the xbox, sometimes on the home screen it say that "4J removed Herobrine but we aren't sure" or something like that.

Herobrine is purely a myth.
Although the developers obviously like to have fun with it, since they frequently put "removed Herobrine" in their patch notes.
Edit - And I'm looking forward to the new food bar/system. It really does change how you play the game.
And it's going to be interesting to see how things like villages and ravines are implemented in the Xbox version, since the worlds are finite. In the PC version, you just wander around until you find them. But since the Xbox worlds are limited, I'm wondering if 4J is going to alter the code such that each world is guaranteed to have at least (or only) one ravine and one village.
Or maybe they'll increase the world size such that it won't be an issue. I'm just hoping they can get 1.8 out before Halloween.

What's different about the food bar?

Nothing. I was referring to the change in the food bar/system when Minecraft went from (b)1.7 to (b)1.8, as the Xbox version is still on (b)1.7.
