I am about to have some downtime and am looking for a new show to get into. I kind of got burnt out on Dexter and am already caught up on Breaking bad. Would stick to G o T but no HBO.

Is Homeland as good as advertised?

Pros / cons welcomed.

TIA

Absolutely!! Homeland is the best show that has come out over the past 5 years or so, IMO.

Watch the first 3 episodes and you will be hooked.

It's a stretch that I personally like it more than GoT? I think I would know.

The rant will tell you what you do and do not know. It's okay that you didn't know this already, maybe I'm the first to tell you.

shite yes. Homeland is freakin awesome. Hard to see Dick Winters as a possible terrorist though. Very good show. I cannot wait for season 2 (September)

very good show. Right now it is one of the series we are waiting to pick up.

Currently watching suits and breaking bad.

Waiting for homeland, once upon a time, justified, and something else I think to pick back up.

Edited to say waiting for walking dead to pick up as well...

Just because Damien Lewis is in it I ended up recently watching a decent part of The Forsyte Saga (I would not recommend it btw) and Damien Lewis plays the villain but it was really, really hard to get into him being the bad guy even after he rapes someone, which is the big conflict of the series (it didn't help that his wife was really awful in spite of every character telling you how awesome she was...seriously, she was neither beautiful nor charismatic).
