Both are very similar athletes coming out of high school.

Honestly nobody really knows at this point. I believe he has a very bright future at LSU though.

Well RS was the number one dual threat QB in the country and a 5 star. PT was a 3 star athlete coming out. I think PT will be a good slot receiver and returner in time.

if he is an instinctive pass catcher he will be much better than Shepard who is merely the latest in a long line of "track guys" who cant make the adjustments in space time.

his falling down catch in the 9-6 was a good example.
I suspect that most 9th graders could make that catch and take it to the house.

What the heck happened?

Anyway, I dont think the bar is very high with RS10's name on it.

So far, in RS10 all we get is fabulous athlete. I dont see WR yet.

Maybe this will be the year he puts it all together.
We would all love to see it, combining that speed with Wes Welker catches. IRL, Wes Welker was lighting it up, in college.
He caught then, and catches now. Not RS10, not yet.

So I will bet on Paul Turner.

No telling really, we have some talented guys that just got on campus, and few that will be in the mix next fall. Im still waiting to see more consistency from the older guys and from obj.

In 3 seasons:

52 catches 478 yards 5 touchdowns
84 rushes 555 yards 4 touchdowns

I don't know that Turner will be better but Shep hasn't exactly set the bar high.

Honestly he doesn't have too much. Hell with all the young talent on offense the question should be will he even see much playing time.

No. Shepard was the #1 dual threat QB coming out of high school. Turner was promised a 4th star after winning defensive MVP of the national championships of 7 on 7 but Rivals never gave it to him. Turner will become a return specialist at LSU IMO.
