John Michael Montgomery - The Little Girl

Makes me cry whenever I hear it. Heard it on the radio the other day for the first time in a long time. It was followed by Luke Bryan's 'you make my speakers go boom boom' crap, which immediately pissed me off.

For some reason, I have a hard time listening to music of musicians that recently pass. Like for the longest time it was hard for me to listen to Michael Jackson after his death.

Now I have a hard time listening to The Beastie Boys due to MCA's death. I know you should want to listen to the music of musicians who recently die but for some reason, it's the other way around for me.

One of the most f'ed up country songs you'll ever hear. Right up there with Delia's Gone.

Most songs that "get to me" have some personal connection and may not mean anything to others.

This one really reminds me of running around with my dad as a young boy in the '70s. Oddly enough, I like this Dutch dude's cover better than Guy Clark's original.
