So my fiance and I are getting married next June. We would love to go to Bora Bora, as we have heard it's possibly the top spot to go for a honeymoon. Anyone on here gone there before? About how much total would we be looking at? I know a lot of stuff is all inclusive and it depends on what we want, but just looking for the options.

Hoping someone here might have done it themselves and can brief me on what to expect for value. Thanks in advance.

When I looked it was going to be around 12k+ for a week. The big cost was plane tickets. Flights are around $2400/person. We ended up doing St Lucia and have no regrets. Splurge on hotel and don't stay at a sandals

If you only have a week to travel most of your honeymoon will be spent traveling...

We looked at it and opted not to do it. It's a dsy to travel there and another day back. That leaves only 5 to actually be there. Along with the price, $10-$12k, we decided to go elsewhere. It would have been a great experience though.

+1

You can find a ton of great Honeymoon/romantic spots in the Caribbean with cheaper, less time consuming flights. I would avoid the Sandals resorts of course. There are still some other all inclusives down in the Caribbean that are first-class.

My cousin and her fiance just went. Got hooked up with a travel agent and went for a week. Said it was $8,000 not including flight. Hope that helps.

I looked in to it as well for next years vacation. Talked myself out of it. $10k seemed to be about the min for a week. Going to St Maarten instead for about half that.

Damn that's more than I thought. I looked up a couple all inclusive deals that said flights from Los Angeles were included, but maybe there's something hidden that I'm missing.

I saw Atlantis on TV the other day and thought that looked nice. Anyone know anything about that. We will probably get a travel agent or some help like that.

There are lots of nice places out there. If you like GOOD food and alcohol, you will be disappointed with most of the all-inclusive. Find a nice island in the Caribbean with a nice small hotel near good food and drink. If you are beach people find islands known for their beaches... Check out the trip advisor forums…

I'm not sure, but I'm going on one in December. I think many on here have been able to go and see a ton of places. Also, it's different strokes for different folks. Some hate being lazy for a week and some love it.

I've never been able to vacation that much. Growing up, I probably went on 2 or 3 vacations and none of them were awesome destinations. I'm looking forward to Jamaica and hopefully it's awesome. Pretty much any nice place will beat my expectations since I don't have much perspective.

It costs $5,300 for a week with a butler and that includes the flight.

Because I can go to the same island for the same price and stay in a better location and not have 500 other annoying couples at the pool with me.
