I have successfully de-cooned my deer feeder but I can't seem to keep the squirrels off. I have 3 different feeders and 2 of them have built in varmint proof features. This one is the $100 Remington feeder from Academy. The feeder itself works great but the squirrels empty it.

I did change the funnel from plastic to metal.

Any other suggestions??

How do they get up to the opening? If they climb the legs, put vasoline on it, or they make some strips that are real sharp that you can put on the legs.

They also make wire cages you can put around the spinner.

They climb the legs and get up to the spinning plate and spin it. They even chewed the plastic funnel to the point where the corn just poured out. Thats why I put the metal funnel.

I haven't seen the tack strips. I may try them. The vasoline is messy but I've tried it. It work but short term.
