That's awesome. He's been impressive after that injury. Anyone know his stats off-hand?

kinda surprising
he had a great first couple months, but has been slumping lately
If he consistently puts it together, he can be scary good

he's had a good year for his first in AA, but he's got to cut down on the strikeouts, especially with a .240 average. He's shown he's got some pop, but 126 Ks in 334 ABs and a .240 BA is gong to get exposed in AAA if he doesn't improve. kid still has a ton of upside being probably one of the more athletic guys out there, so I only hope he can continue on his path towards the majors.

yeah, he'll go 0-fer for 3 games, then have a huge game, go 0-fer for a few more, then have another huge game. Also, of the times he did not get a hit, 126/254 have been by way of a strikeout. started off the season much better, only striking out about once every 4-5 at bats, but now he's back to striking out once every 3 at bats

Wasn't he a top 20 pick?

Just 45 minutes from where he started (kannapolis nc).
The lsu alumni group in charlotte would go to see him and chant:
Lsu lsu lsu lsu.
He came out and acknowledged the tiger fans.

Mitchell was drafted more for his upside which is still considered extremely high. Was drafted in first rd by white sox not for sure but want to say 20 something overall but was not considered a quick project at all. If he could cut his strikeout numbers down look out but this was kind of the expected route for him to take
