Looking for a few casual restaurants for me and the Ms.
This is our second trip and last time we went to Mesa Grill and Olive's.
Anything that I absolutely should try?
TIA

My bride and I have reservations at e in the Cosmopolitan. We had no idea they had only 8 seats.

Check out Battista's Hole in the Wall. Cool atmosphere, really good Italian food. It's about a block and half off the strip.

Missed the Flamingo breakfast when I was there. Was renovating.
Vic and Anthonys is not casual, but if you are in old strip at the golden nugget after dinner, stop in and get a piece of cheesecake. The absolute best gd cheesecake I have ever had, and probably top three ever desserts ever as well.

The Steakhouse at the Luxor one of my favorites. Went to Vegas for the NAB for 13 years (no longer)and ate there every year. Never disappointing.

For fine dining, I recommend Circo (Bellagio), or Top of the World (Stratosphere). Bellagio's buffet is quite tasty.

Does not get more casual than Blueberry Hill.
It is essentially a Denny's but 10x better. 24/7 diner. Had the best pancakes I have ever had there and I cannot imagine ever having better. They must put ecstasy or crack in them! And the wife and I were sober when we ate there. I can only imagine that if I ate there drunk I would have jizzed myself.

Bachi Burger. Saw it on triple D and asked some friends that live in Vegas and they said it was pretty damn good.

This is a message a friend of mine sent when we went to Las Vegas. He's in the industry so I trust his judgement (he works at Mesa Grill.):
ok, so let's start with the local restaurants first. Surprisingly the local scene for restaurants kinda sucks, but I'll give you the ones that I think are the shiznit: 1. Bachi Burger - Amazing twist on the classic burger...lots of Asian influence. Try the foie appetizer and the assorted pickles. My favorite local restaurant. 2. I Love Sushi - Baton Rouge actually has some good sushi, but there are SOOOOOO many of them in Las Vegas, so they have to compete and are always doing something new with it. I Love Sushi is the best. We go there once a month. 3. Settebello or Grimaldi's. Both are Pizza places. Settebello is cool because its a certified Neopolitan pizza joint, which means the Italians have to come and inspect the oven, make sure they're using the right flour, oil, etc. All ingredients are imported. It's not your normal pizza place, but it's worth checkin out. Grimaldi's on the other hand is a classic New York Pizzeria and I freakin love it. If you go there, you gotta get the homemade italian sausage as a topping. I'll give you The Strip restaurants in another message.

And, part II of his recommendations:
There are sooooooo many restaurants on the strip and many of them are overrated...and ALL of them are overpriced. A good way to save money is to check them out for lunch or breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, go to Bouchon in the Venetian. It's by Thomas Keller who is arguably the greatest American chef of all time. Cute little bistro. Now, I know I work at Mesa Grill but i really feel like it's a delicious and unique take on food. It's contemporary southwest american cuisine so they use a lot of Mexican ingredients. If you really want to splurge, go to Michael Mina in the Bellagio. Super fine dining and very modern. Mon ami Gabi in the Paris is an awesome lunch spot. French Brasserie with a great view of the strip (though it is hot as shite outside). One of my favorite italian spots is Fiamma in the MGM. Italian food with homemade pasta and stuff. And, lastly, check out Wolfgang Puck's Spago inside the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. Consistently good and if you sit in the "cafe area" you have the option to order off the regular menu or the cheaper cafe menu.
Hope these help!

Prepare your anus when you get the bill. 2-3k for 2 people, easily.

from a 2011 review:

The fixed menu rings in at a not-unreasonable $150, and for this outlay, diners are treated to 20 or so small courses. Wine pairings (all Spanish) by Meana are available for an addition fee, while $3000, I've read, will get you all eight seats for the entire night.

Hold on, I am looking up this breakfast and lunch place with huge portions and the food is actually good. Get the chicken and waffles...let me look up the name real quick. It is very casual and has good looking dishes. My chicken and waffles was huge and it came with fried leeks. Nice touch I must say and excellent syrup instead of Aunt Jemima shite.
Edit links and location: Locations are shown on the website but I looked and there are several casinos with this place now. It has about 6 locations it looks like in the country. We went to the one in the Plaza on the way out of Vegas back home.
I present the hash house a go go
Link straight to pics of the food
