Help finding Delta Duck

Does anyone know where the "Delta Duck" area is in Venice. I thought it was a reference to the Delta NWR but had someone tell me it was farther down stream somewhere.

Delta duck area is off limits to ducking hunting all duck season. From the time of duck season on they don't even want you fishing the area. It's supposed to be a sanctuary for ducks/geese/migratory birds on the Delta NWR.

sorta where I thought but when a local that I assumed knew more than me told me different I wasn't certain. Also thanks for the heads up Jason I see I better read up on the NWR rules before I venture there.

Yep, definitely read up on the regulations for the Delta. They have different regualtions for it than probably most of the state's WMA's. I've probably hunted there 250+ times so I know them pretty good.

That area is on fire right now for bass fishing, but as what was mentioned dont be any where around there when duck season opens. The Federal Agents are in that area and they definatley have the Napoleon Syndrome!

I think most of Venice is. I got invited this weekend, but couldn't go because of school.

I'll be there this saturday and sunday, made a one day trip about 3 weeks ago and did really good

This is very true. Make sure you know the regulations up and down. If you plan to duck hunt, make sure you have a signed copy of the regulations pamplet for "each" hunter. If not each person without a pamplet, will be given a $150 fine each.
