Per the official Saints' website, here are the current rostered Cornerbacks:

20 Davis, A.J. CB 6-0 183 23 R Jacksonville State
33 Greer, Jabari CB 5-11 180 30 9 Tennessee
49 Johnson, Marquis CB 5-11 203 24 2 Alabama
44 Mack, Elbert CB 5-10 175 26 5 Troy
31 Parks, Cord CB 5-11 182 25 1 Northeastern
32 Patrick, Johnny CB 5-11 191 24 2 Louisville
21 Robinson, Patrick CB 5-11 191 24 3 Florida State
34 Scott, Laron CB 5-9 179 25 R Georgia Southern
24 White, Corey CB 6-1 205 22 R Samford

I'm ok with Jabari and Johnny, but after that this unit does not instill confidence in me. Not sure if there's much that can be done to upgrade at this point. With the slate of QBs/WRs we will face in 2012, this unit needs to be solid. Thoughts???

You're ok with Johnny, but you're not sure about Robinson?

They are about as solid as any other team at 3-4 deep. There are a few teams with better 1-4, but not many.

I think Robinson and Patrick make big strides this year. Guy to watch is Marquis johnson...other than that its not terrible

More important to upgrade the pass rush effectiveness against great passing teams.

Johnny Patrick looked good in limited action last season. I think he's ready to step up now. He was a third round pick, and the Saints seem to like him...I've heard some good things about corey white too, but haven't seen him in action yet.

...and Greer and Robinson are great starters

No kidding. We've been loading up on DB's for years, and then we hung them out to dry with no pass rush and limited help in underneath coverage.

It's thin after the top three. Like I said before, we will really have to keep an eye out when the final roster cuts come in to see if there is anyone worth signing.

Meh. Could def be better. But D-line and LB play should be greatly improved over last year

Which can make your DB's look better also.

so you're NOT ok with the guy going into his 3rd year who was playing at a high level as the year ended but you're cool with the 2nd year guy with next to no playing time?

The way they played last year the no1 and no2 spots seems "comfortable" to me.

Patrick seems like the guy as a 3 since they let Porter go without a offer.

Corey White I can't wait to watch in pre season.

Johnson or Mack will rnd out a 5th spot I think.

If comfortable means do I think we have a good secondary...then yes.

just for reference, seems everyone is comfortable with the #1-2 and most with #3 as well. So we're fretting about the quality of our #4-5 CBs. Hmmm, must be the Golden Age of the Saints.

The staff was effusive in praise for Corey White in OTAs.

Spags drafted and brought Marquis Johnson along.

Elbert Mack has appeared in 58games as a nickel/dime with 5 INTs the past 4 years.
