Place gets too much hate on here, IMHO.

I don't think Acme is bad, but I don't think it's worth waiting in line for either.

I don't plan on standing in line there, either. But if I wanted it on a busy day, I'd sure try to call ahead.

And Rocco should be ashamed of his sorry arse self for trying to pass that shite he serves off as a NOLA style roast beef po-boy considering that fricker is from Chalmette. Deli meat and canned gravy and he actually laughed at me when I called him out on it. I told him he should know better. He's dead to me.

To answer the question it's either Acme or Pokie and sometimes Dempsey's. They're a little too inconsistent for me.

Acme isn't "bad" by any means, especially for Baton Rouge. I just hate that their portion sizes have gone down while their prices have gone up.

ETA: At least the portion size for po-boys

Dempsey's gives it a run for its money!

Yeah, they are just a little too greedy with the pricing. Foods not bad, but just not a place I really care to go that often.

Pokie's was the best in BR but I stopped eating there cause he's such a dick.

Acme is a good RB poboy. Last I went to Rocco's for a RB it was chopped Manda RB and weak gravy, never been back.

I usually just try and make my own.

I've heard good things about Dempsey's, but I've never been.
