I'm thinking the monitor/SSD is what boosted the cost into the 1000s, but it looks like an OK deal for the components. I'm insulted you didn't consult the board for what components to purchase.

Are you building this yourself?

If you get the 23" instead of the 24" it will knock off about $100bucks

Sort of seems high for the build, but you are buying all the peripherals.

I would get a case without a PSU, never the less I am an OCZ fan.

ETA:

Oh you already purchased.

ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 mobo

I have the ASRock Z77 Extreme 6. If you have any BIOS errors let me know, I became pretty familiar with the Z77 Extremes.

Solid board and looks great.

ASUS Xonar soundcard

I have the HT | OMEGA CLARO II 7.1 coming in today. I know, PCI-E x1 is more future proof than regular PCI slots. My PCI-E slot on the Extreme 6 is to close to my GPU.

Should have gotten one of THESE... I got 2 of them and they're great and they are about 25% off the new price. Mine came packaged in the original box and original sticky plastic all over it (basically new).
