We know bama is nov at night and is also a doubleheader weekend.

the following weekend was listed as "CBS doubleheader weekend".

does anyone remember what the gametimes are?

do they do 2:30 and 5:30? 12 and 3:30?

i remember it being different from the other where they do a 2:30 game and just add a 7:00 primetime game.

TIA

Probably 11am and 230pm start times. They're only suppose to have one night game per year

right, i'm trying to remember is this how we got stuck with UK at 11 am last yr?

i vaguely remember the games were like 2:30 and 5:30 and if your game wasn't selected for one of those two it had to start at 11 since they didn't want any SEC games running at same time (if you figure a 5:30 kickoff ends at 8:30)

I may be wrong but I thought the Kentucky game last year was the ole Jefferson Pilot SEC game of the week and not necessarily CBS , although CbS affiliates probably carry it also. I know JP is not the sponsor anymore, just was that way for so many years but when CBS does a doubleheader, I believe that it is 11 am and 2:30pm kickoffs.

oh i thought it was espn early but you're probably right. anyway, JP, LF or whatever you want to call it is not technically involved in the doubleheader otherwise every weekend mostly would be that.

no i think it even involves like a B team announcing crew for CBS. i want to say steve buerlein was involved last yr.

was i drinking too much? does anyone else remember this?

Unless bama really really really wants a game played at night.

If CBS would come in to the present and realize that on college football Saturdays' most household have 5 TV's on with at least 3 being viewed with a cable box or satellite box they would get off the point of not having another SEC game starting within 1:15 of their games time. If they got past this 1 tv per household idea they could show a 7pm game every week. (The ratings are pulled from the cable/ satellite box)

During the West Va. game last season ratings were pulled from 3 boxes at my house LSU/ West Va.(ABC) South Carolina/ can not remember (ESPN2)
and whatever Big 10 game was on ESPN. All of these games started within 30 minutes of each other and all got good ratings.

In the era of technology we are in college football fans are not relegated to watching only one game at a time. CBS is a huge corporation and should understand this. This mindset of our game is the only game that can be on during that time slot does a disservice to the college football fan and the viewing audience.
