Coming to the Texas Club 7/20. I hear he make the owners turn the a/c off 2 hours before show time and the place is always sweltering hot by the time he takes the stage.

Any DAC concert experiences?

He wasn't terrible. I saw him last time he came to the Texas Club. It wasn't noticeably hot by any means. If you've never seen him before and you like classic country...go.

this is true, also he blends all the songs together, so it's good but not great, I was there once when he went to the Texas club, I give it a B-

I went to one circa 2006 in a little bar in Athens when I was at UGA and it was fine. He didn't get too drunk or anything.

My mom and dad hated it. He was drunk and left mid show because it was too loud for him to sing. Never been to one myself

Yes......At Texas Club about 5-6 years ago. He came on about 9 ish I reckon. He had a handle of Jack Daniels in his hand and poured himself some in a cup (yes a plastic cup) when he got to the mic. He talked for a good 5 minutes before his first song and by the end of those 5 minutes had finished 3 cups of straight Jack which equated to about a third of the handle I'd say.

He played 2 songs in about 20 minutes. IIRC one of them was Tennessee Whiskey (irony I know). By the time those two songs were over he was loaded. His third song was a song that I don't think anyone knew....I know I had never heard it and I figured I had heard every DAC song by that point in my life at least once. He slurred his way through it and when it was over people were kind of like OK. I mean people cheered but it was noticeably less loud than the first 2 songs.

This pissed him off. He lectured the crowd for about 10-15 minutes which elicited some boos from the drunks in there. That pissed him off.....he told everyone in the Texas Club to F Off, flipped everyone off, walked off stage and didn't come back.

Everyone there paid like 50ish buck for a 45 minute concert that consisted of 2 songs that were relatively understandable. The natives were restless. I don't think TC refunded any money. If they did I never heard about it and didn't get mine or my dates back

Everyone was pissed....I thought it was pretty humorous to be honest with you.

Although I have heard people since then say he has put on decent shows at TC.

David Allan coe was not that racist IRL. He was looked down on prison for hanging out with black inmates.

The AC thing goes way back. He always said that his true fans would sweat or freeze there arse off in the cold to come see him.

On a side note, the song about his woman running off with a n....... Is hilarious if gou havent beard it. Used to be on the juke box at the Brown Door in Hammond.

I saw him at Cowboy's in Kennesaw GA, back in 04 and it was a good show.

It was summertime and the AC was not turned off.

Saw him at the Old Double Deuces in hammond somewhere around 2000-2001. This is the only time I have seen one of his shows so take it for what its worth. The dude played a bunch of shite that wasn't even close to country music. Was certainly not any of his music that I have ever heard ( no it wasn't his X-rated stuff ) When he finally got around to playing "You never called me by my Name" He played about 30 seconds of it and left the stage. I like his stuff but I will never pay to see him again, thats one weird motherfricker.
