Denied his father covered anything up and that he led a life of integrity.

"more facts to be heard"

"more time to uncover all things that happened"

I'm pretty disgusted watching this

Him and his family are in complete denial.

"this is just a little chapter of joes life"

Joe didn't act on the information.

It makes me wonder if Sandusky had some dirt on Joe Pa which kept him quiet.

I changed the channel when he came on. I couldn't stomach the denials that were on the way.

You know, that little "solution the the Jew problem" was only a small chapter in Hitler's life.

At what point does Jay Paterno become considered a pedophile enabler?

This shite is getting ridiculous, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I have no idea why I still give this story the time of day anymore, but what do you really expect Jay to say? His dad wasn't the one molesting the boys. What do you really expect 193 year old Joe Paterno to do about this all? People just keep digging for a bigger scandal than there really is.

We expect him to STFU and leave it be.

His Dad had the responsibility of making sure this didn't happen in his program (as a HC it IS his program) and he allowed Sandusky to hang around the program after the fact. He also had at the least a moral responsibility to follow up with reporting it to the administrators at Penn State if nothing happens.

Oh I don't know.... maybe inform the police as opposed to covering up any allegations thus allowing more young boys to be raped.

I bet Joe Pa thought that if they turned over evidence against Sandusky in 2001 (or whenever the date was), and they showed that an internal investigation occured in 1998 with nothing coming out of it, then he would be forced to retire.

..and that old fricker said no because he wanted the CFB Wins record and wanted to coach until HE stepped down.

Most of us are wondering the same thing, esp when there are so many PSU Boards that will agree with your twisted logic.

Be watching - the NCAA is going to drop the bomb after the dust here settles and Sandusky is sentenced. Penn State as we've known it will be long gone from the list of football powers. Sad, sad, sad. But the cover-up by the university is clear to see. All but the most rabid Paterno-niks can see it like it is.
