The ones who were on the team prior to this scandal breaking, yes. I feel for those players and they should be allowed to transfer and play immediately.

But any player that committed to PSU after the scandal, then I'm sorry. You made Sandusky's bed and unfortunately, you are going to have to lay in it with him

Raping kids >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> not doing as much as you should have.

That what it seems like the sentiment on this board is.

I agree they should take down Penn State for this

I'm fairly certain that this is not the first time Ole Joe had a hand in making things go away. I doubt any other cover-up was as horrible, but knowing that he was willing to cover-up for a child rapist, I'm not sure I'd put anything past him.... or the university.

They were enabled by fans, alumni and players. No way players didn't know or at least suspect shite was going on. Sandusky's creepiness is so obvious.

Exactly. It's amazing how many people will blindly worship someone that they don't even really know. Outside of family and really close friends, I don't see how anyone can really know a person to the point of putting complete faith in them.

Last I saw Emmert said the NCAA was "exploring possibilities" of being involved. I think they will make it happen somehow.

Pretty sure the NCAA's stance is "Let the courts handle this. If we need to get involved after that, we will."

Emmert's biding for time and hoping that PSU and the former officials get fricked so hard in criminal and civil court that they don't have to do anything.

Glad this is mentioned, I really think they should strongly consider it. I would take it down. This is a great time for the University to get away from the JoePa era, especially now that they know he was almost deliberately enabling a serial child rapist.

@slmandel: Penn State received word the indictment was coming around Oct. 27 last yr. On Oct. 29 Sandusky attended PSU game, in Nittany Lion Club.

Funny considering the origin of Pennsylvania as a Quaker state the unspeakable sentiment surrounding this. Even more so considering what Quakers believed in as right and moral conduct.
