I'm kind of shocked at the Blunderbuss love from many in this thread. I love White Stripes, Raconteurs, and Dead Weather. But Blunderbuss just sort of laid there for me.

Lots of good offerings in this thread. I would put the new Dirty Projectors "Swing Lo Magellan" in my top 5. I can't get enough of this album right now.

Well considering we still have DMB , Mumford and Sons , Muse, and No Doubt left and I'm sure a few more bands making albums, it's hard to make a ranking.

Its been a good year so far. Im on the DIIV bandwagon as well, i love the album. Alot of whats been mentioned i dig too.

My favorite so far this year that hasnt been mentioned yet is School of Seven Bells- Ghostory. I effin love that album.

But i think the album of the year may have actually come out today; Purity Ring- Shrines. Check it out if you havent heard them yet.

Awesome. I just now noticed mind drips posted that earlier. Glad to see someone else was excited today. I have to say the new XX single is great, cant wait for their follow up later this year.

Am I the only person who thought "Be the void" was just sort of average?
