Goku is a Saiyan warrior that loves the challenge of a good fight. I am not as knowledgable about Superman, but comes across as more of a guy who fights because he should.

i never thought that the superman/goku bios are almost the same
Both fell from the sky in a pod.
Both home planets were destroyed.
Both raised by the elderly
Both discovered their power at an early age.
Both fell in love with a earth woman and had a son.....Son(s) in gokus case.
Both saved the earth countless time.
Superman gets full power from the sun, while goku achieved max power by the earth (ssj4)
its beautiful.
