Is it really bad to draft an elite QB #1?

My first time doing this and I need to know if Rodgers or Brees is an acceptable #1 pick

I wouldn't have an issue with someone taking Rodgers #1 overall.

I would not draft Brees number 1 overall.

His numbers are comparable to Rodgers and could easily be better this year

Is it the SP suspension?

while it is rare for someone to do so, i would not scoff at someone for taking rodgers #1

Are you talking about your 1st pick wherever that may be, or the overall 1st pick?

Overall 1st pick you better grab a stud RB because there aren't many.

I think I took Rodgers last year at the 6th or 7th pick.

I have the #2 overall

I want to go either Rodgers, Brees, MJD, ray rice or matte forte in no particular order.

i would be careful with matte forte. ray rice would not be a terrible pick here either. MJD is solid but has off games sometimes but still very pickable at 2. i'd go with rodgers before brees even though it makes me sick to say that

Since its a saintstalk league I'm guessing drew will be gone with the first pick so I won't have to make that call

I'm in it to win it though so I am still hesitant about brees with no otas, possibly holding out training camp and no SP

yeah probably so

i really think however with our absurd amount of above average running backs barring no injuries drew brees number will take a hit this year. with rodgers you dont have to worry about that they have zero running game

If I knew now that the running game was going to be above average or even top ten, I'd take drew without hesitation

But that's me

don't shy away from Megatron here. his fantasy points were higher than all three of these guys last season.

do you know who has the first pick? If its Patrick, I'll go out on a limb and say he'll take Brees.

i am always skeptical about him because of matty stafford's health. he finally put together a complete season but that was a exception not the rule. i wouldnt do forte first round at all contract situation + addition of micheal bush + end of martz era = uncertainty

I really would. he gets the ball no matter who is at qb. and the chances of your #1 RB getting hurt or Stafford getting hurt are the same IMO.
