Don't want to rehash who is better, JL or JJ, been done a thousand times.....but who were the guys on here constantly painting JJ as a top qb? Were the family or friends? It was kind of ridiculous. Beefrees? or whoever that was.....I am new here, but there were several VERY LOYAL supporters of JJ.....had to be family members right?

why band? I lurked for several months before joining. I am not slamming either qb....there just seemed to be a few people on here with unrealistic beliefs about both qb's, and mainly jj. Didn't mean to offend anyone, obviously this is a sore subject here. Was just curious. Delete.

I'll bite to an extent...I wanted to trust the coaches that they know more about their players than we the fans know. If you take the emotional attachment to Lee out of the equation, the switch went well enough on the field, in at least that the outcomes were all positive. The UGA first half scared the shite out of me but again, we still won convincingly. The only true abortion was the final game where everything that was feared became reality.

There were people here who honestly believed JJ brought an additional dimension to the offense that JL lacked.

Its not that anyone viewed JJ as a world beater but only that he was more versatile than JL.

Personally I didn't think either should have seen the field in 2011.

I never liked either...but thought Lee was much more efficient and the offense clicked better. The offense of LSU went decidedly downhill the last four games....WK, Ark, Ga were all very poor first halves of offensive football...luckily the defense and special teams finally took over and depth wore those teams down. Seriously, the UGA game was a qb abortion as well, as was a lot of the arky game.

With JJ I was usually disappointed, with Lee I was usually scared to death.

I don't remember anyone touting JJ as a top qb, mostly people were just tired of people flipping the frick out about it. At least that was my opinion.

Now hopefully this troll thread can diaf.

This. People need to realize that both QBs had major faults.

I agree, thinking back again. The first half for sure. Eventually the offense overall picked up by wearing down UGA and starting with good field position which masked some of the QB problems.

Arkansas was not great but I don't put it in the same class as the BCS game or UGA first half, which could not have been worse.

I agree with this. I defended the multiple personal attacks against JJ and wanted to trust the coaches, who are with the players daily and whose jobs depend on their decisions, would pick the right guy.

You're trying to evoke pointless, empty convo.
Why don't you get off your arse and post some career stats to prove whatever point you're trying to make about unrealistic QB beliefs?

You should also note that UGA and Alabama (a.k.a. our opponents in 3 of the last 6 games) were far and away the best defenses we faced all year.
