I guess I'm judging on season one. . . . Which shows Doakes as a hell of an officer that would allow him to relate to Dexter. As far as taking the law into his own hands.

I've always thought that they should do more with Masuka.
He seems to be a good actor, and they have a lot of potential with his dark, private pervy sex stuff going on.
In fact, I think in the books, Masuka is the closest thing Dexter has to a friend because they both feel like outsiders.
I don't know why the writers won't tap into that.

Ummm... not sure why my name would be legendary now. Vilma is, and will always be my vote for prez.
But, I am sticking away from that board for a while.

IMO, his character was too simple to really deserve an arch. Simple, stereotype meathead detective who takes the law into his own hands. I think it would have been out of place in Dexter to develop his character more.

Most of the secondary characters suck and the actors are even worse than the characters.
I loved seeing Doakes killed off. He was terrible.
One Note Asian Guy is about the only one I wouldn't be thrilled to see disappear.
I don't hate Deb as much as most on here, but she is also nothing more than a one note character. We get it, she likes to curse.

Doakes was a great character he was so over the top awesome. The best was when he would just glare at people across the office.
