There's a lot of chatter about Moura. Does anyone know much about him? All i know is that he is 19,plays for Sao Paolo and he is a highly rated attacking mid.

I thought Sau Paulo was pretty intent on keeping moura.
Haven't they already turned down insane offers from madrid and chelsea, like in the 30-40 million euro range.

One of the best left backs in the Premier League already.
He is one of the better ones but better than evra? I guess it depends on how much we pay and what the intent is. I don't like him for 18mil, and I think evra>baines but maybe I will be proven wrong...........?

2-3 years ago, yes, unequivocally yes. Baines is better than Evra right now, IMO.

I wasn't saying that he was BETTER than Evra, but that he has the potential to be better in the future.
But it looks like some think he's already better than Evra.

Yea some do, previous poster is one of several with that opinion, idk, I guess we will see, definitely quality depth, just don't want to pay too much with other big fish out there like moutinho, martinez, koura etc.....

I agree. But we've got money to spend.
If we can swing a Moutinho or Martinez and help the long-term situation at left back, it'll be a successful transfer window.
I would also argue that we need to get another game-proven backup striker, but that's obviously not high on other people's lists.

It would be next on mine after the lb and cm, but yea not getting nearly as much attention in forums on the net. I did see some ppl wanting us to go after RVP, but I agree with passing on him as I think you did too. Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez are good but yea I agree, signing one more would be my next item on the wishlist.
Maybe koura would help fill that role with his versatility......?

I would've loved to have gotten a guy like Lewandowski, but I heard that Dortmund asked for too much.

Oh yea, saw his name pop up a few times too! Yea that would have been a good move.
On another note, Clyne is up for sale apparently, but he is a rb and we really need a lb more, still would add some quality to the d though....

We still have Berba. I don't see him as an everyday alternative, but if SAF uses him in matches that suit his talents then we may not need another striker. That being said,SAF likes to buy strikers,so I would not be surprised if added another to the side.

I was surprised when Berbs said he was coming back. Old for a striker, rather would see a young guy like Welbeck backing Rooney and Hernandez up.

I agree about Wellbeck and Hernandez backing up Wazza, but SAF likes to carry 4 strikers. Berba could be the 4th if he is used in the right circumstances.

No, I'm saying that...
Starters: Rooney, Hernandez
Backups: Welbeck, Berbatov
I'd like someone younger to replace Berbs.
