500th post in this thread.

Jonny Evans continues to make my life miserable. Rag on him for sucking, he scores.

this starting slow and conceding early thing is going to bite us in the arse in the long run.

we need to get our shite together in the first 15 minutes of the game.

i did like having chicharito, RvP, Rooney, Kagawa, and Cleverly out there together.

once we got our heads out of our asses it was some pretty entertaining stuff

Can someone explain Sir Alex's transfer policy to me? Your defense is terrible, so you bring in a bunch of midfielders and forwards? I've got a ManU friend who was thrilled that y'all were linked to Kaka. It's strange.

Love that Rooney's (possibly) moved to the midfield. I think his game suits it better, especially with the depth we have up front...and it could extend his career down the road.

By the way, today is Wayne's birthday.

News for today: Nike and United may renew their 13-year deal. A report says that the deal may be worth about £1B.

That's right. ONE BILLION.

Also, Kagawa's availability for the Chelsea match is in doubt after twisting his knee last night.

How do you know he didn't try? We were in on Moutinho but it didn't work out, who knows about other names and who knows that we aren't targeting someone for the winter? Cleverly may actually be ok in this role but the jury is still out on him. All I know is he was starting to show some promise before getting hurt last year. I think we thought this was settled with hargreaves a few years back but it didn't work out. It happens......I agree with you though def mid is top priority along with a solution for an aging evra.

uh. Buttner. have you seen that guy play? he's going to be good.

We have a ton of injuries in the defense at the moment. Along with some age.

Smalling, Rafael, and Phil Jones along with Valencia in a pinch can all play right back.

Jevans, Smalling, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic and Carrick in a pinch can occupy the CBs.

Buttner, Evra, and i've seen Jevans perform respectably at LB in a pinch.

We desperately need a DCM. Someone that can break up play and link up with our attack pretty well.

I wouldn't mind a couple more defensive signings either.

Once these injuries clear up it'll be a lot smoother I think.

Yup. I'm not excited for when he takes over.

This should be our main winter transfer emphasis.

Moutinho, M'Vila, Fellaini, one of the Benders...whoever can play that role and play it well.

Our defenders are going to be fine. Like PTBob said, what happens if we get a new defensive guy and all of our old ones are healthy again? It's going to be hard enough rotating Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Rafael, Evans, Jones, Smalling, and Buttner...who do you need on top of that? (Only thing I could think of is a world-class RB, but then that limits Rafael's growth, and he's turned out to be a bright spot so far this year.)

yep, that's no good. Rooney will probably drop off to play in his role while Welbeck, RvP, and Chicharito hold down the striker roles for a bit.

I'd like to see this signal a permanent midfield move for Rooney.

One more quality center defender. all ours have injury problem except evans who sucks. I think we will be fine in the midfield. Carrick does not need to play defense; we need him to be our defensive mid. Fletcher getting healthy will help us there too

Jonny Evans still hasn't conceded a foul in the Premier League this season. Martin Tyler's back with more great stats! LINK

Wow. Thanks for the link.

He also leads the league in bad marking on counter attacks and scoring off of corners seconds after I curse his name.

I just have the feeling every time he slides that he's about to StuBear someone.
