re-watch the "Interception Game"... that's all you need to relive the story.

Was that one of Bruce Hunter's hastily written books? Former Advocate Sports writer was cranking out books on LSU coaches at a rate of one a year. Wrote books on Dale and Skip around the same time and started one on Shaq until Sarge nearly assaulted him. Don't think he ever finished that one.

"throwing the ball, up 23-9, on a team that had only scored on a fumble in the enzone, and not punting to make them drive the length of the field because I'm a complete Fking f*cktarded douchecanoe"- The Curly Hallman story

yeah its one of Hunters books and how come its not subtitled "Curly bout Crazy"?

As one who lived thru that time w LSU FB there is no way I would give a nickle for that book and Joe Dean screwed over LSU FB during those yrs and there is no way I want to relive it. Baseball w/ skip and BBall w/ daddy dale were great fun but Tiger Stadium was a tomb at times

Sorry. I get a little emotional over the worst loss I'm my 30+ yrs of being a tiger fan. My best friend was @ Auburn then. He invited me down for the game. So glad I didn't go. I was so infuriated, I had those angry years. Like when you would get into a elementary school fight. Sorta akin to Ralphie beating up Skut Farkas. The next wk, we lost a one pointer to the fighting Taneyhills. I kicked and broke my portable cd player while listening on WWL. Much better now, though.

Everyone always talks about the interception game and how bad it was and I don't disagree. But IMO by that time most everyone knew curly was a idiot. The worst game IMO was a 32-0 loss in 1991 against ole piss in Jackson

The guy sucked balls. That's for sure. He made his name with Brett Favre. I once met the sister of Bennie Gilbeaux outside TS during the 97 ND game. I asked her why he didn't go to LSU, she said, "ask Curly Hallman". IDK what she meant, but, we lost a lot of good players OOS during his reign of shite. Really pretty girl, too. WOW!

I'd dare say Brett Farve MADE Curley Hallman instead of the other way around.

I remember being at his first game on the road against UGA. I put my field glasses on his face and realized that SOB was way out of his league then and there. He had the deer in the headlights look.

I couldn't believe that even an idiot like Joe Dean took as long to fire him as he did. The Chancellor should have fired both of those idiots after the first season.

Okay, maybe word it differently, but, you get my point. I remember driving from Texas to Georgia listening to that game. I thought to myself, "are we really gonna suck this bad?"

Mike Archer ruined the program before Hallman came along. I actually liked what Curly was doing in his first year. He said no earrings and no cutting classes. He just didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.

Any coach who would tell a player (aka kid) to take his bandana off and give it to him, put it down his buttcrack and wipe with it, then give it back to the kid and tell him to put it on is simply not worthy of anyone's respect. That incident happened in a practice near the end of his last season at LSU.

There was a sign up in the old west upper deck that read "Curley's Corner." Needless to say, it was ALWAYS empty.
