Is there any chance we can keep Hazard and Mata for the long haul? I have pretty much convinced myself that Mata will leave for Barca and Hazard for Madrid in the next 2-3 years.

Lucky for you this year is the election year in Madrid.. and I don't think yall would sell Hazard just yet, so the next time Real will probably splash major cash is 2017.

Yea I'm not worried about this year but maybe like 2-3 more years. I hope I'm wrong because if we can keep he and Mata together I think there are a lot of trophies in Chelsea's future. Just got to solve the striker issue.

No, though I do suspect it will be easier to keep Hazard than Mata. Juan just belongs in Spain.
Hazard may be easier to keep because of his age and the FFP implications that will exist in ~5 years. He will be at mega-superstar status by that time and there is a possibility nobody in the world will be able to afford him.

I really really really don't want to lose Mata or Hazard... really... I'm just not sure if we can hold onto both for longer than the next couple years.

You could make a pretty strong argument they are the two best mids in England right now outside of Bale the way he has been playing recently.

Eh they're both probably top 5 although most would put Hazard on the winger's list.
