love this kid, but Luiz is the next CLL.

I honestly don't see Luiz as a captain. He's a great player, plays the right position for a captain, and clearly is respected by teammates, but he's far too erratic to be a captain. The captain is supposed to be the anchor of the team, someone that is consistent and unwavering(Terry), and Luiz's nature is the exact opposite. I think that he'll mature, but I don't know that he'll ever change. Not a knock against him, he's a great player and has limitless potential, but he's not captain material.

You do realize that Terry has publicly said that Luiz should be the next captain? He thinks he's a perfect fit. I'll take his opinion over yours.

That's a pretty solid endorsement. Still doesn't change the fact that that Luiz has a challenge per game that could be considered red card worthy. You can't captain from the bench. I guess we'll see what plays out.

I feel pretty much the same way. I obviously respect the current CLL's opinion but from the outside looking in Luiz really does seem like, outside of the fact he does work his arse off, the complete antithesis of what I would expect a captain to be.

Chalobah is an England international, can play central defense or CDM, captained the England U-17's as a 15 year old, is the current captain of the U-19s (unless he's playing with the U-21s), has captained the Chelsea youth clubs to silverware and (most importantly imo) has been with the club since he was 10-11 years old. If he pans out as a solid first team player he looks to be a no brainer to wear the armband one day.

Obviously he won't be ready by the time Terry has to give it up so if it's Luiz who fills that gap so be it. But, one day, it will be Chalobah.

Plus he's captained another team that isn't too bad, some might know them as the Brazilian National Team.

I think he is a great fit for captain after JT, just imo though

A draw in this Ars United match may be the best thing for us. It will assure that Man Utd can't beat Chelsea's points record leaving them with zero to play for next week.

Good thing we loaned out Essien. He was as good as anybody for Real today playing in a CL semifinal but apparently not good enough to play ahead of Mikel or be squad player on a thin squad playing a record number of games in a season.

Well when Mou comes back next year, you won't have to worry about it.

Is it really gonna happen? I go from 6 to midnight every time I hear someone say it or let it cross my mind but I'm so afraid of having my heart broken I refuse to believe it.

Do you really think that he comes back? I sure hope so, and it seems like he'd like to come back. Is Ancelotti out of PSG for sure? That would worry me.

I don't know Essein that well besides highlight clips, but he's been very useful for RM. I'll never understand why we loaned him. Is he coming back next year for sure? He's already 30, it just doesn't make any sense to have loaned him.

Pirlo's easily a top 3 player for me outside of Chelsea players. Him and Lampard bossing the midfield for 6-7 years

Also I saw this picture on facebook and it made me

Who knew there were Brazilian ninjas?
