I have no issue with the length of his ban, I do have any issue with the FA's handling of other major reviews like the guy getting studs to his face last month etc.

They have got to review their review policy.

part me also think that since there are 4 "meaningless" games left for LFC this year, they wanted to make it "count" next year... which is punishing the club and not the player...

Conspiracies aside (because I don't think there are any) I wouldn't be surprised if this played a part. Makes sense, actually.

Suarez bans are like dog years, exponential. So, 1 = 2 and in this case he actually was given a 5 match ban but in Suarez terms this equates to 10 matches.

Honestly, as much as I love seeing Suarez play... I was intrigued by seeing a front three of Studge, Stew and Cou for the last 4 games... if anything, to see what we have without Luis... can DS lead the line effectively... now I didnt want this experiment to go 6 games into next season...

Also kinda glad that shoulder surgery will let Gerrard rest and not be available for England matches this summer....

No it isn't..it's standard proceedings. He was charged with violent conduct, of course the club wants him to be given the punishment that comes with violent conduct.

It is what it is. Lets just get over it and move on.

Glad that the entire country can begin to heal from this most egregious and terrible harm caused them. God save the queen.

Well, 3 matches is the standard punishment for violent conduct. But this is Luis Suarez we're talking about. A bastion of pure evil. The rules apply differently to Luis Suarez. They always have. And they always will.

Hail Satan.

From Ian Darke's twitter:

Maybe there should have been precedent for biting punishment.

Key words:current regulations. Actually there shouldn't be a precedent. One should be able to think that some savage wouldn't bite someone. That's what's pathetic. You can be mad at the FA all you want but at the end of the day, your player BIT someone. If he didn't you'd have nothing to bitch about.

This idea that being bit is worse than being punched, kicked, etc... I dont get it... Spitting, I understand...

Bho, I know you said your kid knows better than to bite, but I also hope he feels the same way about kicking, punching, etc... too..

I agree with Carra... I'd much rather be bit than having my leg broke and out 6 months...

I do agree with you that yes, he shouldnt have done it and we wouldnt be talking about it if he didnt... but he did, so the conversation has progressed past that and has settled on whats a just punishment...

I totally agree with you. There is absolutely no place for it. I originally predicted 10 games, and I think that is a fair and appropriate punishment. What I don't think is fair, and where Liverpool fans have a problem is that time and time again, the FA seems to make up new rules and punishments specifically tailored to Luis Suarez. Jermaine Defoe can do the exact same thing and get nothing. That is not fair. That is the type of thing that feeds to this mentality that the FA goes out of their way to be harsher on Luis Suarez.

AGAIN, I personally have nothing against the 10 games as long as 10 games IS the agreed upon punishment for any and ALL violent conduct. 3 games isn't enough whether its a blatant punch thrown or its a bite. All LFC fans want from the FA is some sort of consistency.

ETA: AGAIN, IM NOT CONDONING SUAREZ'S ACTIONS. NONE OF US ARE ACTUALLY CONDONING HIS ACTIONS. I KNOW I HAVE STATED A COUPLE OF TIMES THAT I APPROVE OF SUAREZ BITING ANOTHER PLAYER, BUT THOSE POSTS WERE MADE IN JEST. BITING IS WRONG. WE ALL KNOW IT. AGAIN, NOT CONDONING SUAREZ'S ACTIONS. I PERSONALLY DON'T THINK THAT IT IS OKAY TO BITE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING.

Yeah what a fricking douche that Jermaine Defoe is ... seriously what was he trying to do have a fricking bicep steaks ... Jesus, chew your food Jermaine don't swallow it whole.

Seriously Bho we all agree that what Suarez did was wrong though some of us disagree on the severity and punishment of it we all know it was fricking stupid childish wrong.

Well obviously.

I agree, however some of the "serious" injuries come as tough challenges and a little bad luck. I'm sure if on a dead ball someone broke someone's leg on purpose they would get a ban that would make even Suarez blush. Biting is just ridiculous. It's not that it could ruin a career, but it is 100% on purpose and dumb.

Supposedly the back pages tomorrow will say Saurez may be ready to quit LFC, distraught over his ability to get a fair shake in England...
