I'm not sure if it is just a reflection of the way the last few years have gone, or that I am just a pessimistic person, but does anyone else freak when they see the thread jump a page or two in less than 24 hrs on non-gamedays?

I immediately think that we've lost someone to injury or worse. Glad to see it is mainly a discussion of shirt sizes!

After the opening 14 games this season, Liverpool were 12th. Over the next 14 games of the season, they are 3rd.

Wow. That's pretty impressive.

BR will have Liverpool competing for a Champions League spot next season. If you guys can hold on to Suarez, I think you might be as high as third.

Suarez holds it all together nicely, but I'm starting to open up to the idea of him leaving. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to leave by any stretch, but I think LFC would survive if he did. £40-£50m to complement Sturridge wouldn't be all that bad.

Interesting fact, when people claim we arent a huge club anymore... world wide... 2 of the top 5 in sales. I think ManUre with 4 out of 7 was a given... Kagawa has to be the Japanese buying power??? And van Persie's 25% is insane!

Gerrard is #1 in the

Here is the top 10:

1/ van Persie - 25.4 per cent
2/ Gerrard - 8.2 per cent
3/ Rooney - 6 per cent
4/ Kagawa - 5.8 per cent
5/ Suarez - 3.6 per cent
6/ Hazard - 3.1 per cent
7/ Scholes - 2.7 per cent
8/ Torres - 2.5 per cent
9/ Kun Aguero - 2.2 per cent
10/ Podolski - 2.1 per cent

If you were to look at the Liverpool squad only, the top 10 would appear like this:

1/ Gerrard
2/ Suarez
3/ Agger
4/ Sterling
5/ Lucas
6/ Carragher
7/ Allen
8/ Reina
9/ Sturridge
10/ Borini

Liverpool owns Boston and has a huge following in...Chicago, I think.

Can't believe Scholes is up there.

If I needed a reason to like the Real Ronaldo even more...

quote:

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo said Real Madrid's 2-1 Champions League win over Manchester United on Tuesday served to shut Sir Alex Ferguson's mouth, after the United boss called him 'fat' in the build-up to the game.

During Monday's pre-game press conference Ferguson was asked to compare the former Madrid attacker Ronaldo [Luis Nazario de Lima] with his namesake the current Los Blancos star [Cristiano] Ronaldo. The Scot replied that Cristiano was a better all-round player than the "fat, old" Ronaldo, who had scored a hat-trick on Madrid's last visit to Old Trafford in 2003.

The Portuguese attacker then did not match that performance during this year's game, looking affected by the emotion of his return to his former club, but still scoring Madrid's winner in a game that hinged on the controversial sending off of United winger Nani early in the second half with home side 1-0 ahead.

The Brazilian Ronaldo, 36, retired as a player in 2011 after a long series of knee injuries and struggles with his weight, apparently due to a related thyroid problem. He reportedly lost 37 pounds while taking part in a reality show on Brazilian TV last year, and is currently working as an ambassador for the 2014 World Cup, which is being held in his home country.

Speaking at a publicity event at currently half-built World Cup venue Arena Pernambuco, Ronaldo said that the remarks from Ferguson, 71, had been disrespectful and unexpected from someone with so much experience in the game.

"Real Madrid shut his mouth for me," Ronaldo said, in comments reported in AS. "It was a lack of respect. A professional of his age, an English Sir, should not be so disrespectful. It was not classy."

Ronaldo said he did not want to get into any further debate on the subject, but he would be keeping an eye out for United's results from now on.

"I have no words for this gentleman, except that I hope the team he manages always loses," he added.

LINK

quote:

Tottenham and Liverpool are set to fight it out for Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen after it emerged the club are ready to sell their prize asset this summer.

quote:

Standard Sport can reveal that the Dutch club expect Eriksen to join an English team at the end of the season, following their decision to cash in on the 21-year-old Dane, who has refused to sign a new contract.

quote:

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is thought to be confident of driving down Ajax’s £14million asking price to somewhere closer to £8m given Eriksen has just one year left on his current deal.

quote:

“Liverpool and Spurs are scouting him almost every week. Arsenal are no longer interested and Man United are not on the scene. The club will not let him go cheaply so there is a long way to go but it seems likely he will move to Tottenham or Liverpool.”

frick Tiny Tots - easily my second most disliked team in the league. Break the bank on him, BR.
