I would prob swap Henderson for Sterling... but it would depend on the matchup..
Also, someone has given Sturridge a history lesson in his short time here... 5 times..

Yea..depends who we're playing.

I'm not so sure. I think the back 4 is set, the midfield is probably set though I'd say Allen shouldn't be automatic at this point, but I know BR loves him. Suarez and sturridge should be no brainers, so I think the true question is who's the last option. At least no we have more choices which could also offer changes in formation depending on opponent or situation.

No doubt and with Sturridge and Borini back, Sterling and Downing will have to work that much harder... no longer automatic picks

And this match showed two of the deficiencies we've seen too much this season. The hole being left wide open, and poor marking on FK's.

The second half is the best I've seen us play all year. Even though we missed a ton of chances on Manu's end. Really pumped about Sturridge/Suarez linking up.
Also...swapping Hendo for Sterling = :puke:

I still can't believe we have to start Stewart Downing.

Our second half was decent. It only looked extraordinary because of the contrast between it and the first half.
Tactically I'm not even positive what BR changed from the first to the second. Suarez clearly was put into the #10 role and started dropping deeper to receive the ball. This obviously helped link the midfield to the forwards, but I'm still puzzled why he took Lucas off and not Allen. Lucas is the better player. For everything BR has said about Allen's offensive ability, I haven't been impressed in the slightest. He's a good player, and fantastic in certain matches, but today was not one of them.
I liked how the squad looked when Suarez dropped into the #10 role. He was looking to link-up with Sturridge every time he received the ball - which is exciting. We'll see how things go from here on out.

He was afraid of being a man down - at old trafford.

The red flares were awesome.

Have any of y'all read the war of words on twitter between Joey Barton and our beloved Kaiser, Didi Hamann?
Getting very personal... It all started with Didi telling Joey not to bad moth his old clubs (NUFC, QPR) and has devolved quickly... Joey has accused Didi of being a coke head degenerate gambler who screws around on his wife...
A little footy soap opera for a rainy Monday afternoon...

The day I believe a word that comes out of that shite excuse for a Scouser is the day I need to start a prescription for dementia. Joey Barton is a fricking child, and a complete embarrassment in almost every way.

Well to be honest he was a degenerate gambler...he's admitted to losing up to £200,000 a day before. And that he's cheated on his wife as a highly successful footballer, isn't out of the realm of possibility. And if I had to bet, I'd say that he and Fowler probably did a few key bumps together in their heyday. He also got a DUI several years back so I'm sure Barton will use that soon enough too. I love Joey Barton and I don't think he'd make up these kind of accusations without being confident that there is some truth to them.

Didi admitted he had his troubles in the past and has come through the other side (he denied ever using drugs).
Joey just got way too personal when Didi was simply advising him not to make his past club's business, public... Since they have paid him handsomely over the years...
I like Joey Barton to a degree, too... He just seems to lose his temper way too easily and lashes out verbally or violently... thats kind of concerning..

Yea, this is well documented so you'd think Didi would know better than to confront him in a public forum. Didi could've called or texted Barton with his "advice", but he chose to call Barton out publicly. Let sleeping dogs lie, Didi...especially when your past is plenty checkered as well. Barton has done some really impressive work for the Hillsborough justice campaign and Didi was part of the '05 CL squad so they both have my support. Have a beer boys, shake hands, and move on.
