I usually play late afternoon to early evening. My wife will be out of town over the weekend and I'm in town this weekend so I should be able to log some hours.

Hello good friends.
I may not post as much or play every night, but I still love this game and intend on playing a long while.
It is perfect for my casual playstyle, but I can go hardcore on a weekend if I like. That's appealing to me.
I see many guild members are still on every night gaining influence for us too. Everyone must feel the same as me

Egggzelent find fracted.
I have been wondering though. Just what good are gems other than getting some add on stuff, like a bag slot.
I can buy them but there isn't any use in re-selling them because they are worth less than what you paid, from what I have seen.
Am I missing something?

I've used them for bag slots/bank slots and to purchase 10 of the stones required for the recipe I wanted at the mystic forge.
you need 3 forge stones + green + blue + yellow armor kit things (to breakdown gear) combined in to the mystic forge to spit out mystic kits that have the same stats as the yellow kit, but 250 uses instead of the normal 25 from one kit (or 75 in this case, since you're combining 3 kits)

I try and get my daily stuff each day, not much else I can do though. I do "buy" things from the guild bank, either for coins or trade. Seems that helps keep slots open for high level/value things others can make use of. At least it is better than selling it off elsewhere, more like a swap meet if that makes sense and hopefully the coin is useful to make upgrades or what ever.
I picked up nice rifle, props to whoever put that in there.
Oh, here is a "Pro tip" for everyone.
If the dungeon says "at least 5 players recommended" DON'T run your silly arse in there alone. The fast travel and repair costs are worth dinner at Ruth Cris.

Ahh.. I'm learning stuff now, haven't even figured out where the Mystic Forge is, probably am not at the level to even use yet.

I broke down and got a SSD drive today. DoUrden has made me want one since his talk about how fast it is. I also got some extra ram so I'll be at 16gb. Don't really need that much but figured what the hell.
I also hit 30 with my Thief last night. I have been playing P/P and D/D with him. Anyone have any weapon combos, playstyles they like with the thief?

Once I figured out my viedo card problem, my zone times are always sub 5 seconds, not sure what people are getting on regular HDs

Hit 50 last night. Regeared my toon for a balance of all stats, instead of just stacking power precision and condition dmg.
The added toughness, vitality, and healing power make a big different obviously. I feel pretty silly for ignoring toughness. Didn't really matter when just fighting 1 mob, but when taking on multiple its been a big help
It seems the armor prefix "hearty" , which is vita and toughness, sells for the most on the trading post..so..clearly those stats are valuable. I'd suggest everyone else adding more survival stats as well

I have a little vitality but nothing in toughness, when I am solo my pet tanks and if there are adds I kite them, if i get agro in a dungeon I will kite until i lose agro or the mob dies.

Well I have a tendency to get in the middle of large groups of mobs and aoe melee 
Seeing all the big dmg numbers is fun but if I don't evade out immediately I get bitch slapped
Not anymore though.
Btw did the patch fix your My story final boss?

The quest is no longer bugged, but as it turn out it was the NEXT to last fight. Now have to get a group to do Arah dungeon.

Sometimes I see guildies running dungeons in ones or twos, but no chatter about it in guild chat about it, if you want people to run with ask in chat some may want to do unless you just like pugs or I smell really bad.

I went from 61-65 on my necro in a heartbeat last night. Crafting played a big role in the leveling. I am also slowly leveling my warrior. The elementalist hasn't really gotten under my skin so I may scrap that guy.
I haven't run one dungeon yet. If anyone wants to do some runs this weekend I'll be up for it. Doing stuff around the house on Saturday and Ohio State plays at 3:30 so that day may be out but Sunday looks good.

I did my first dungeon with a pug, just figured out what that means. Anyway, three different guilds and we figured it out about half way through.
I started to feel bad for laying there dead so much but then I rezed them as much they did me so it worked out.
We had to get repaired several times and once I was knocked stark naked, I was like DON"T LOOK MARGARET! but it was too late.
Really, who beats a guy's clothes off him and then leaves him for dead? That's some bullshite right there.
Ohhh.. the reason for the post..
I can see the need to communicate so, once I get Vent do I need a mic/headset thing or can I use the mic I have and my speakers?
If I need the combo which type/brand would be best for a noob like myself?
