Not sure exactly where you are, but try Realtracs.

I have always driven through the subdivision and then called the homeowner/realtor for a visit.

Stretches down into some North Alabama counties and up into some Southern Kentucky counties. And yes, I spend a lot of time on there, and I am not even looking to buy a house.

ETA: Just noticed your location. Your name could not be anymore correct for what we have had the past few weeks. Did you guys get any of that from the storm yesterday?

Where I'm at in Franklin we got 30 minutes solid rain, wife works in downtown Franklin, no rain. Their main office in cool springs got none either.

If your ever in the market for a house let me know!

Yeah, it seemed to go west of Nashville and east of Clarksville, where I am at.

Will do. However, just bought one two years ago that we plan on keeping until retirement. I have family in Hermitage and Lebanon. You have an email I can reach you at? A cousin of mine is an appraiser in the area you may know.

Find an area you like. Ride around the neighborhood and notice what agent has the most signs up, that would be a good place to start.

Download the realtor.com iPad app.

We saw the house being built on our road. I came home, fired up the app, drew a circle around the area on a map with my finger, found the listing using the search parameter I listed, e-mailed the agent and got a call back in 3 minutes.

Signed the contract two Saturdays ago, and got the approval on financing today.

Zillow also has a really good realty app as well.
