So apparently he is real big into fishing and has traveled all over the world to catch fish. pretty good article if you have the time LINK
quote:
Jeffries' Top Three Fishing Destinations in the U.S.
1. Venice, La.: "It's the best for fishing. Inshore you have the best trout and red fishing. Then, once you go offshore, you have yellowfin and blackfin tuna, marlin, snapper, grouper, mahi mahi and even swordfish."
2. Panama City, Fla.: "It has most of the same fish as Venice, but it can be hit and miss sometimes. But Panama City is great for families, whereas Venice, La., is mostly for fisherman."
3. Hawks Bay in Duck Key, Fla.: "The best swordfish fishing in the world right now is there."

I would have never guessed Jefferies was a big fisherman. Makes me like him a bit more now

it's a shame he sucks because he might have actually enjoyed playing in New Orleans because of how close it is to venice

Never would have seen that. Respect...that's what I want to do in retirement for sure!

Was picking some friends from Florida up last summer in the NOLA airport and JJ stepped off their connecting flight from Tampa. This was in the middle of June, I asked what he was in town for and he said "The fish are biting". I never got it until now. Thanks TD

pretty cool and pretty big mahi!
I'd have to agree with him about Venice #1. Only place that offers great chances at specs, reds, flounder, red snapper, grouper, tuna, wahoo, dorado, & marlin.

pretty cool story.
I would have never suspected he fished that much until I read that. guy sounds like a straight up jeremy wade type
