With this new signing we should not rush his return, don't want to put his future in jeopardy

Agree. Start Kroos - Gustavo and sub Javi on around the 65th minute. Then next week you start him.

And I think it would be 2 weeks actually. I believe the game after Stuttgart is the 15th, even more time to mesh before we take on the bigger clubs

If we can get Schweiny healthy by then and start Javi-Schweiny in the center of the field, I'll be so happy.

It also opens up more formations when everyone is healthy

Lahm - Boateng - Badstuber - Alaba

Kroos ------ Martinez ----- Schweinsteiger

Robben ------ Gomez -------- Ribery

------------- Badstuber --- Martinez --- Dante -------------------

Lahm --------------- Schweini -- Kroos ------------------ Alaba

--------------------- Ribery --------- Shaqiri ------------------------

----------------------------- Mando -------------------------------------

Lahm --------------- Boateng ---- Badstuber ------------- Alaba

-------------------------------- Martinez --------------------------------

------------------- Kroos -------------------- Schweinsteiger -------

----------------------------- Ribery (Shaqiri) ---------------------------

------------------------ Mando -------------- Gomez -------------------

i'm pretty sure if jupp still plays with the 4-2-3-1 every game then he is senile. i like the bottom formation the most. other two look good though. i'm looking forward to watching them play so i can figure out my preferred lineup

I agree, but Bayern should get some really fantastic mileage out of a three back system.

javi left out of the spain national team squad for next week. del bosque cited lack of match training and him needing to be acclimated with bayern.

just rewatched the match, gustavo was masterclass and i really want him to be on the pitch most games. bastian got his swag back. kroos was very, very good. muller played pretty well apart from the failed marking on their goal. i know it's kind of cliche, but the squad without robben looked a lot more cohesive. will be interesting to see how this campaign plays out. i would like to see a different lineup every game, bayern has enough depth where all of our players should be fully rested when they step on the field.

Javi's passing proved to be better than Luiz and Tymo's in a very short period of time. A nice rotation of Schweini, Javi, Luiz, and Kroos at holding midfielder will be nice. Kroos can also rotate in at CAM with Muller and Shaq. Greath depth up the center.

i'm not sure if it was the home opener or the added competition in the squad, but we looked damn hungry yesterday. everyone had a fire under their arse. couldnt be more happy with the way the team responded to going down a goal early.

also jupp used all 3 subs

eta: kroos played well, but even when he's the "CAM" i feel he still plays a little deeper like just a traditional CM. that's just semantics though

Bayern reserves + Schweiny and Javi Martinez played against Qatar. Nothing too earth shattering other than an awful miss, but it's good to see that central midfield partnership.

solid performance today, including an excellent service from javi on the 3rd goal. gustavo is going to be hard to take off the field, but javi must have a chance to prove himself. bastian is back. dante's penalty kind of changed the tempo of the game, but we outlasted them and got the 3 points.

bayern 2 looks like theyve succesfully eliminated themselves from promotion. only scored 11 goals in 12 games. weiser has been playing well at lb and rb. can has been average according to reports. looks like the coach might also be on his way out.

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has told his team-mates that the season really begins when they welcome Valencia to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday for their first Champions League game since losing last season's final.

"I have four years left on my contract, and it is my belief we will get another chance in the final," he added. "When we played the Netherlands at the Allianz Arena three days after the final, it was bitter to come back to the place you missed out on winning the title a few days earlier.

Can't wait for Champions League

what lineup do you want to see? i think robbery are still injured, so i'll go with.

------------neuer-------------
lahm----dante---boateng----bad
---------bastian--javier------
muller------kroos----------shaq
------------mandzo-------------

would rather shaq at cam, but i dont prefer kroos to be on the wing very often
