Question about CQ/Premium for bf3

I purchased CQ dlc pack but I didn't get the premium. Now I can't get in any of the servers because I don't have "premium"...except I do have the close quarters maps and guns. Did DICE/Ea really do this? This almost makes me have to buy Premium...what a total crock of shite.

If you bought CQ, you should have no problem getting into the CQ servers. What happens?

Not sure if it is a PC issue. I DL'd the map pack without Premium and I was playing last night on all the new maps and different servers on Xbox

I guess it is different on pc. There are servers that require premium (why the hell this is allowed I'll never know) so if you don't have premium you can't play on the server...well all of the server require premium (the ones that are worth playing) and all the shitty servers require close quarters...This really grinds my gears.

Yea I'm not sure if Xbox has strictly Premium servers or not as I usually just accept invites to play so they have already picked the server. I haven't browsed them since I downloaded the map pack. That does suck if most of them are that way on PC though

for server owners, there is an option to make the server premium only. This can be enabled even if there is no premium content in the map rotation. Don't see a whole lot of premium servers on 360 for some reason.

I went ahead and picked up premium on 360, but it shouldn't be a requirement to play.
