Leonard Fournette (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine)
John Diarse (Monroe, La./Neville)
Jeryl Brazil (Loranger, La.)
Tra’Davious White (Shreveport, La./Glen Oaks)Jeremy Cutrer (Kentwood, La./Jewel)
Desean Smith (Lake Charles, La./Barbe)
Standish Dobard (New Orleans, La./Edna Karr)
Brandon Fields (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael)

if this was a game of tackle this team would be very scary

is Noel Ellis on that team? if not, it's a tragedy and a travesty that the best DB in the nation got left off of this team.

Who's the QB? I know Fields plays QB at St. Michael, but I figured one of the other guys that are playing QB for their team is just as or more than qualified.

He was asked to attend LSU camp and got Butt Hurt at the idea. The family feels he should be given a free ride based on his father opinion of his son. He had no problem going to A&M,TX and Tn camp though did he.

FREE Jamie Newberg Scout article:
quote:

Bootleggers Don’t sleep on the team from Louisiana. They have some special players like 2014 running back Leonard Fournette (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine). He will be one of those guys who will be able to name his school. LSU commits, athletes John Diarse (Monroe, La./Neville) and Jeryl Brazil (Loranger, La.) and defensive backs Tra’Davious White (Shreveport, La./Glen Oaks) and Jeremy Cutrer (Kentwood, La./Jewel) are all part of the Bootleggers squad. Tight ends tight end Desean Smith (Lake Charles, La./Barbe) and Standish Dobard (New Orleans, La./Edna Karr) will be key targets for sleeper quarterback Brandon Fields (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael).

Also there playing and on LSU's radar:

2014 WR Ermon Lane (Homestead, Fla.)
2013 CB Rashard Robinson (Pompano Beach, Fla./Ely)
2013 CB Vernon Hargreaves III (Tampa, Fla./Wharton)
2013 DB's Evan Berry and Elliot Berry from Fairburn, Ga./Creekside
2014 WR Ryeshene Bronson (Ft. Myers, Fla./Dunbar)committed to UF

Article about the tournament

quote:

(Cam) Newton, who has previously spent time training at IMG Academies, will come to the campus on different terms this time, as he looks to advance the youth initiative at the core of his Cam Newton Foundation. Together with the IMG Madden Football Academy, Newton will run a skills event – the Cam Newton Skills Challenge at the IMG Madden 7-on-7 National Championships – on Friday, June 29, the first day of the national tournament

started a new thread but thought I'd post this here too.

Neville (without Diarse), OCS and West Monroe, Ruston, Delhi Charter, Airline, Tioga, Pineville and Riverfield Academy. News Star article

quote:

The tournament is a two-day event with teams competing in pool play Friday and again at 9 a.m. Saturday. The championship tournament is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with a championship at 5 p.m. Coaches will meet Saturday afternoon after pool play to seed the teams according to the tournament website.

Admission to the tournament is $5 each day. Two games will be played at the same time inside Rebel Stadium with another game going on the practice field near the Shelby Aulds baseball stadium.

quote:

Shows said that with his Rebels splitting into two squads it gives coaches a chance to see what more players can do on the field.

Anyone think they can make it?
I'm in Ruston so I might!
