I'm kinda sick of not knowing how much time I actually have in stoppage time, I was thinking of how EA could fix it and I have an idea:

a. Actually have a clock for stoppage time as opposed to the current +1, +2, etc.

b. Run stoppage time like the NHL series runs PP time, where PP is scaled closer to actual time than the regular game.

I can't tell you how frustrated I've been by the game ending so quickly and me having no clue when it will end.

Thoughts?

I LOVE how NHL does that. The PP time, the final 10 seconds of the periods in real time, and the final minute of the game equal to PP time.

FIFA should definitely adopt it, especially since they're both developed by EA Canada, how hard could it be? Run down the hallway, "Hey NHL team can we have your coding for your PP, thanks".

At the very minimum have the clock continue to run into stoppage time, the whole +2 thing is BS.

I don't have a problem with the stoppage time. I hope they fix the computer since it absolutely sucks playing them. I also would like a more indepth virtual pro where you can play internationally, get bought and sold, stuff like that.

No kidding. If you start a career mode as a player manager, you can only be a player manager at the starting club.

If you leave, you can't change teams or purchase your VP from the old team. What's the point?

(A)If you play soccer IRL, you don't know the exact time the game will end. So why should a video game be any different?

(B) Playing five minute halfs with two minutes of stoppage time does not make senese to me either. That's a 40% increase in the time.

IMO online head to head halfs are the perfect amount of time and that's what I play most of the time.

I don't really mind how they do it now. I would think it would be difficult to adjust how much stoppage time there is. I assume that the "time" is completely random and just implemented to seem like the real game. I always assume that each team pretty much gets one possession. If one team is moving the ball forward and never loses the ball, the stoppage time will just be long.

I am also in favor of completely changing playing the computer. It was unbearable this past year.

Yes, yes I did.

Edit: The scale for 5 minute halves would be, 1 minute of real life stoppage = ~7 seconds of FIFA. I never really timed it when playing, but stoppage always feels longer than 7-33 seconds.

It pisses me off when I take a shot and it hits my own players that's offsides or when I make a pass to a player running onsides, but an offsides player takes the pass

At least IRL you have some idea because they announce how much stoppage time and the clock keeps counting.

In FIFA you only get +1, +2, +3, etc. so basically you have no earthly idea. If they just adopted the ESPN style bug (where it has the +3 and keeps counting above 45:00 and 90:00) I'd be ecstatic. It's just really annoying to have no clue especially considering the time is scaled

I've seen it stated twice in this thread, so dare I ask why people think playing against the computer unbearable/awful/etc.?

That happens in the real life game of soccer, too. Are we complaining about realism or what's the issue?

I get that part, but when it bounces off the gk it shouldn't be offsides when i put it back in the goal sometimes
