How many men/women will decide the fate of so many?

In many years it will be easy to pick the 4 best teams but his will set up for some interesting seasons!!!!!!

I can't wait to see this crap unfold.........

How many members should it have?

How many years do you stay on the committee?

Are you paid to be on the committee?

Erin Andrews has a Heisman vote so I'm not optimistic.

I think you will see a mix of conference level officials and athletic directors.....I'd hope they roll over this committee yearly. I think that makes it harder for an individual to justify crappy selections.

I'd hate to even speculate the number of members on the committee.....I can't even imagine what the makeup will be as far as who is on it from what conferences/schools.

I wouldn't think these people would be paid.

Selection committee in basketball picks 68 teams, probably not as much politics involoved unless you are team 69 and 70, but who cares.

In football picking 4, there is going to be some majorly greased palms. Boise St is still going to be SOL. Will not be long before the Big East sues the selection committee when their conference champ gets snubbed.

As I stated in the other thread, the selection committee will be an abject failure and will do nothing but spawn consipiracy theories and claims of corruption. Human beings, with all of their irreducible prejudices and predlictions, should not be allowed to dictate who plays for a national championship, especially in a sport such as college football where allegiances and grudges run deep.

I imagine it will be pretty similar to the basketball and baseball committees.

ESPN has first right refusal on format. So, guess who will have someone on the committee.

Its better to have the 5th and 6th ranked teams bitch than the 3rd and 4th like years past.

Its a step in the right direction

For the love of God don't let anyone from ESPN near this committee. Bias commences right there. Texas, USC, Notre Dame....theres 3 of your 4 right there as far as ESPN is concerned.

There are no media members on any of the other selection committees. Why would there be for football?

Someone? Every member of that committee will be ESPN "approved".

And if they somehow can't control the majority of the committee directly via the actual members, they'll spend millions lobbying to get the results they want.

Keep ESPN (aka "The Borg") the frick out of this. Probably easier said than done, but that is how it ought to be anyway.

I think it should be made up of people who actually coached & played college football at a high level.
