10 for 16 & 18??? Then Houston could package 14 with Lowry and others for a higher pick, for two top 10 picks?

What motivation do we have for trading down that far? I hope we don't take a deal like that. 2 picks isn't always better than 1.

I doubt we will try too hard to help them land Dwight

So you are saying you would rather Rivers than Terrance Jones & Kendall Marshall, or Zeller & Kendall Marshall?

He already tried for 14 and 16 and they said no

They are looking to go inside the top 8

1) yes
2) there's no guarantee both of those players would be available at 16 & 18

Zeller won't make it to 14 or 16.

He'll be gone by the time 12 rolls around, as the Blazers and Bucks both need big men.

I'd look at a trade for 16 and 18, or 14 and 18, as a total fallback position if everyone we want is off the board by then.

Moving back at that point lets us take some combo of Kendall Marshall, Moe Harkless, and/or Arnett Moultrie.

I'd consider 14 and 18 but not 16 and 18. Doesn't really matter though. The rockets have a plan to try and get something higher than the 10th pick.

I'm torn on this.

Like most people have said, the difference between #8 & #20 is in the eye of the beholder, so I'd like to get 2 good players ranther than just one if there isn't much difference in skill level etc. (Hell, this board can't even agree on who we should take between Marshall, Lillard, Rivers, Zeller, Sullinger, etc.)

That being said, I don't want to help Houston get Dwight Howard either. I'm not sure he'd stay in Houston if traded there though.

SOOOOOOOO...still torn.

I think that Howard will leave if he goes to Houston and that there's no guarantee how he'll play this season due to his back surgery.

I'd love to have them go all-in on trading picks and taking in bad contracts to get him, only for him to walk.

The chances you'd actually build a contending team with medicore draft picks in the late teens is so small, I definitely wouldn't make any trade with the Rockets. Teams just aren't built on those picks. The Hornets have had those picks for the past decade and look what it got them.

This isn't the NFL. Collecting mid first round picks doesn't get you anywhere in the NBA.
