Been picking a gallon of figs a day for a week now. I've never had this many before.

I put up 8 pints of preserves and 6 pints of strawberry fig jam yesterday and now I have even more than I started with.

Anyone have any other recipes or ideas ?

Ripe figs sliced in half, placed on sheet pan greased with good olive oil. Caramelize some red onion on the stove and deglaze with a good port wine. Place the onions on top of the figs with your favorite cheese. Touch of sea salt and cracked black pepper. Cook in 350* oven 12/14 minutes.

Stuff them with a little blue cheese and wrap in proscuitto. Bake them a little while and snack on them.

Maybe you can take the figs and give them a treatment like apples and make some fig butter instead of apple butter.

Fig wine? I'm sure someone's done it because there's lots of sugars for yeasts to snack on.

Dried figs for eating outright or reconstitution out of season.

Freeze for use in pastries when figs are out of season.

Honeyed figs.

Figs soaked in wine or maybe rum or vodka for an adult dessert.

Fig infused vodka might be interesting.

Candied figs.

Pureed figs in place of applesauce with some nice grilled pork chops

Spiced fig compote

Maybe try figs for sweetness in a kabob dish instead of tomatoes.
