Sorry if Germans but does anyone know when they are going to start construction on the DQ on S. Sherwood? I thought they were supposed to try to open by July 1 and the last rumor I heard was Aug 1 but I know that is not going to happen. I saw the Dunkin Donuts sign was put up last week further down Sherwood and they already started working on that building.

1. Somebody from DQ said that it was running behind but would be open soon, without giving a date (email). I am seriously craving an Orange Julius!

2. Where is this DD you speak of?

I'm right in front of it right now and it doesn't look like they've even started

They have done nothing, so I am thinking Nov 1 at best. Just drive to Central DQ

The one in Lake Charles closed years ago. Now the closest one is in Welsh.

The only ones to eat at are the old, original Dairy Queens which are still in some small towns. They have the old seasoned flattops and are good. The new ones are absolutely horrible.

Well, I am not driving to Central to visit a gas station DQ, especially since I only want an Orange Julius...not ice cream. I wish the Sherwood location would break ground, soon! I also saw this on a link on another site. It is about future locations. Apparently, DQ (hopefully OJ, too!)is coming to Denham Springs! They have a poll to see which of three possible locations would be our choice.

Completely agree. I haven't been to any new ones.

We always stop at the one in Welsh when we come back from LSU games.

I would never EAT at a DQ. That would just be nasty, like BK, McDonalds...

I simply want an Orange Julius!!! I may eat one of those dipped cones, too!
