Thing's just got interesting...if Schweinsteiger sits, do Germany still win? I think so, but only if Kroos (I'm assuming he would be the replacement) is as dedicated to playing defense as Schweiny is.

Good news for Italy. Kroos is too attacking IMO if they keep the same formation. Unless they do change shape I imagine bender will get the call. I'm sure Hendo will be devastated.

Move Khedira into more of a holding role and replace schweiney with Kroos. Still good enough by half to beat the Italians IMO.

I think Pirlo just got really excited though, unless Germany man mark him with Bender, but that puts all of the pressure to create on offense on Ozil...which might actually be really fun to watch.

If Jesus is out, I think Bender might be the choice since Pirlo is so awesome.
My gut says that he'll try to play though and that Jogi will give him a half to see how he feels.
Even if Kroos plays, he's really good as a holding midfielder, probably better there than at attacking mid to be honest.

Would probably just be better to sit him, IMO. Sucks, I know, but he was a shadow of his former self last match. A fully fit player would probably be a better alternative.

They tried it a couple of times but it didn't really work. Maybe a 3-5-2 but I doubt he'd do it now.

I'm sure even without Jesus, the Germans will take it easily. Italy can't seem to finish.
