Orion Festival - Metallica

That festival Metallica organized was this past weekend, they played the whole Ride the Lightning album one night then the black album the next night, both in reverse order. First time they ever played Escape live from Ride the Lightning since Hetfield hates it so much, they even tease the beginning of Frayed Ends of Sanity, another song they never play live,

Supposedly their label pressured him into writing something with a catchy chorus and Escape was the result, trying to find a link with the story on it but it was something like that

outstanding setlist! although kirk hammett makes me wish the wah pedal had never been invented, they sound great. hetfield's rhythm playing & picking astounds me.

Escape is a very odd song for the lightning album. Same way that the thing that should not be is odd for puppets. If tttsnb was on the black album it's a huge hit. Like both songs though.

I saw them in '92 and I remember the concert like it was yesterday. One of the best concerts I've been to. It was bad arse!

Seen them 3 times and wished I could have seen RTL live. Must have been awesome.
