I am not wanting to hear the answer so I can use it to bash the kid. I don't freaking know. Seems like a straight up question that has a simple answer. This whole thread needs to be deleted and started over. I clicked on the link and someone post a comment about laid which got me hopeful and excited that LSU baseball might finally be getting some great hitters to go with our pitching. And since that post all I have read is crap about what the OPer named his son. Screw all yalls stupid little clicks and slights and petty bickering. That crap doesn't belong on this board and by the time the post got moved here it was too freaking late. sigh
Omega, this kid gives LSU speed in the OF and on the base paths. It appeared to me that LSU needed faster base runners this yr to steal bases and take extra bases on hits.I'm not sure if he will start next year, but I feel he can upgrade defense in late innings as well as pressure opponents pitchers and catchers as pinch runner when needed.
He looks like a kid who could gain twenty pounds of muscle w/o losing speed. Time will tell.

Jackson Slaid did the same thing a couple yrs ago. Hit 3 or 4 hrs in that tournament.
I just don't see him beating out Scambria? or McMullen for CF.
A lot of people are gonna be surprised by McMullen.

baseball has no boundaries. Class means little, if you can play, you can play. Im looking forward to see this kid in action

What's ur point, there are 3 or 4 people from Monroe that have posted on this thread. I guess I'm him too, what about ole JJ27 is he Laird too??
You guys kill me. There's been 3 or 4 threads Bout this kid and they all end the same way. A bunch of punks saying a kid is posting about himself. You know what I've seen just as many threads about Diarse and none of those have been like that. He's from Monroe too.
This is ridiculous, a LSU player that turned down other schools because he WANTED/DREAMED of being a Tiger is consistently treated like this.
Dude Mark Laird doesn't have to post anywhere, he does his talking on the field, just ask anyone that's ever had to face or cover him.

This Laird guy must be a friggin' beast. Every time I see his name mentioned the thread goes on forever. Major buzz.

The truth of the matter Farmtiger is that if Laird attended Catholic High, Parkview, etc. he would be the second coming of Ken Griffey, Jr. on this site.
Mark can play and will be an upgrade to some of the players currently on the team.
The baseball coaching staff whiffed on Ryan Gephardt of Ouachita. He is First Team All Conference as a sophomore at La. Tech this year. And, is blowing it up in the summer league.

Whiffed on Belcher from Ruston as well. 4 year starter for Bama, but wasn't offered at all from LSU.

Damn you're complaining about some kid who wasn't offered when freaking Smoke was coach. N. La is swinging a tiny dick in this thread.

What does that even mean? Why are u bringing up Little Richard? He's not even from God's country.
Posted on 6/26/12 at 9:29 pm to saintsfan22
Like another poster said, if Laird went to Catholic 20 posters would start threads on him weekly.

This type of shite is posted all the time on here but since this kid is from Monroe for some reason it became an attack on N. La.
