Who would you rather have going forward? Will Lincecum turn it around? Lester's struggling too. Any help?

i would like to have both i think.

i tend to go with the NL pitcher if it's close to choose.. plus tim's strikeouts are still there if anything so that's good. now you could say well lester plays on a more potent offensive team so he can get more wins. i just think i'd go lincecum. good toss up question tho.

I couldn't beleive someone in my league actually dropped TL. I had no choice but to add him. Even struggling, I had to pick him up in case he has a great 2nd half

Why?

He's been terrible.

4 INN 4 ER vs OAK
5 INN 6 ER vs MIA
6 INN 4 ER vs SD
5 INN 5 ER vs SEA
6 INN 3 ER vs OAK

He should be blanking these shitty offenses.

Then you bench him but you don't drop a player that can bounce back and become a top ten guy.

He dropped Lincecum and picked up Casey Janssen? Really? Is that worth it? No.

That's all I am saying

Or you can wait all season for him to bounce back but it never happens. He's had 15 starts already. When do you draw the line?

At least Jansen is getting saves and contributing.

I would at least see what happens in the 2nd half.

And again Lincecum is still top 10 in strkeouts in the NL. Among guys such as Strasburg, Cain, Dickey, Hamels, Gonzalez, Greinke, Kershaw, and Lynn..

He still has the stuff. It's not like he doesn't have it.. he just has made mistakes along the way. Both Greinke and Hamels both have given up more hits than Lincecum.

I'd say he made a big leap forward in his last start. Gave up 3 in the 1st and had the bases loaded with one out then struck out the side and pitched a no-hitter the rest of the way through 6.

Though to be fair, that's basically the story in most of his starts this season. one shitty inning followed or preceeded by several quality innings. Seems pretty mental IMO

I think it's a mechanical issue when he pitches out of the stretch. His numbers with runners on are fricking horrendous.

Correctamundo.

He should be shutting out Seattle, Oakland, SD etc. Especially in their huge parks.

He has been on my bench for a couple weeks now. But I have a good feeling this week vs the Dodgers. Their lineup is beyond terrible and he showed some good signs in his last start. Time to roll the dice on Timmy Jim.

His career line against L.A.

99.2 IP
101 Ks
3.07 ERA

Ethier is the only Dodger he doesn't absolutely own.
*not counting that bum Juan Rivera here

7.0 innings 4 hits 0 runs 2 bb 8 k's

and in line for the win.

again i don't understand how anyone could drop lincecum when he still has had the stuff all season.

8th in the NL in strikeouts with 99 on the season.

Loved that Bochy paid a visit to the mound there in the 7th when he got in a jam with runners at 1st and 2nd with only 1 out. Was up to about 105 pitches but Bochy gave him a little pep talk and Timmy responded.

Giants going for the sweep of the bums!!

The Dodgers are in the bottom 10 in the MLB in every hitting category and they were missing Ethier and Kemp. He's supposed to do that.

16 starts, 4 quality.

Max Scherzer is 4th in the MLB in Ks. Doesn't mean shite.

Let's pimp him when he puts together a few good starts in a row.
