After he clears waivers, they might put him on the injured reserve. I think that's how that process works at this time of the year.

i dont think so. think hes done. torn acls in both his knees in 2 years. thats a wrap.

He might be done but it could just be bad luck. The salary won't be much and he could be ready for training camp next year if he's lucky.

Having a torn ACL in both knees isn't a career ender. Jamal Lewis had torn ACLs in both of his knees after his rookie season and then he started another 100+ games at RB. Granted, the tears were further apart in Lewis' case. But Romeus is a cheap contract and the Saints might as well give it shot by placing him on the IR to see if he can come back.

why would they waive him? they could just put him on IR if they wanted to keep him.

It was still worth the pick because of the potential upside. You can't win them all. Hopefully, things will work out for him whatever he does.

I think if they waive him and he clears, they can put him on IR and it wont count against the roster.

can be IRed w/o waiving, just no need to pay him, no one is gonna take him, easily available IF he can ever even give it a shot again.
